Dear Brothers and Sisters of Our Mother of Mercy,
Today the Church celebrates both Gaudete Sunday and Our Lady of Guadalupe. A reminder that we are to continue rejoicing in the midst of our daily trails, and that Our Mother is interceding for us to draw us ever closer to her Son Jesus, who is our Divine Mercy.
I want to express my solidarity with all of you as we pray for Fr. Samuel’s full recovery. As you know, this is not going to be a quick process, and so I wish to express my gratitude to the MSP Fathers for sending us Fr. Joseph to shepherd your parish in the interim.
Let us continue to beg Emmanuel, God with us, during this Advent Season to comfort and heal Fr. Sam and for his return to us here at Our Mother of Mercy.
Please be assured of my prayers and support for your community.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Bishop David L. Toups
